Musical Guest

Our special guest at OperAffair this year will be tenor Adam Klein, who will portray Don José in Carmen in June. Career highlights for Mr. Klein include appearances at the Metropolitan Opera in Arabella, (opposite Renée Fleming), the witch in Hansel and Gretel, and Steva in Jenůfa. With other opera companies he has sung such roles as Cavaradossi in Tosca, Otello in Otello, and the Duke in Rigoletto. Mr. Klein appears courtesy of the Metropolitan Opera.

Noriko Yasudo will again be our piano accompanist.

Concert Opera Boston Music Director Jeffrey Rink

Jeffrey Rink will share some of his personal insights about the upcoming concert opera.

“Rink’s conducting swept one along on torrents of climaxes. He shaped Mascagni’s soaring tunes eloquently and seemed to delight in the elegance of Leoncavallo’s orchestra, with its evocative music for flute…and harp…” - Lloyd Schwartz, Boston Phoenix, June 19, 2007
